Stroke is defined as an acute disturbance of one or more brain functions, either permanent or transient, caused by a disturbance of cerebral circulation. Many of those who have suffered from this disease need help in the management of the disability and in the rehabilitation process. Nurses have a role to play in this. This paper summarizes the most common nursing diagnoses that direct nursing interventions.
