Abstract
Learning anatomy is a three-dimensional endeavour. In the era of digital Information Technologies, three-dimensional visualization software offers unprecedented opportunities to improve anatomical teaching and learning. At the School of Medicine and Nursery of the University of the Basque Country, a digital application was developed for the first time to assist students to better understand and learn human anatomy. This newly created tool was positively valued by students, and deemed as useful a learning resource as dissection. Further development of the software and its adaptation to fulfil the needs of the new anatomy teaching contexts is warranted.
