60. hamarkada, eta bereziki 1968 urtea, gazte errebeldiaren eta protesta politikoaren garaia bezala mantentzen da memoria kolektiboan. Pariseko maiatza edo eta Pragako udaberria aro gatazkatsu honen ikurrak bilakatu dira. Baina irudi eta eslogan gogoangarrien gainetik, ezker tradizionalaren birplanteamendu bat gertatu zen herrialde askotan, borroka moldeak eta postulatu ideologikoak garai berrietara egokituz. Hurrengo lerroetan Amerikako Estatu Batuetan Ezker Berriaren ezaugarri nagusiak, eraginak eta mugimenduaren nondik norakoak azaltzen saiatuko gara.
Abstract
The sixties, and specially 1968, remains in the common memory as an age of youth rebellions and political demmonstrations. The Paris students riots or the Prague Spring are symbols for this age. But over images and memorable slogans, it happened a new rethinking of the traditional left ideas in many countries, adapting the figthing models and the ideological postulates to the new times. In the following lines, we will try to explain the main aspects, the influences and the origins and development of the New Left in the United States of America.
